The station at Hampton Court is the main gateway to the Palace and to the local area. For many years, much of the site has lain vacant and boarded up, despite plans being approved to develop it.
Since then, local people with the new developer have been investigating ways to improve the plans whilst still delivering the promised regeneration.
The new scheme now includes a new area of public open space instead of the contentious river front hotel, housing next to Cigarette Island, a hotel and shops where the current car dealership sits, a greatly improved landscaping environment
for tourists and locals leaving the station, and a well thought through car parking scheme.
Before we progress with the design further, with a view to submitting a new planning application to the council later this year, we are holding a public exhibition to gather feedback from local residents and introduce people to the new plans. We warmly welcome you to our exhibition, and we look forward to meeting with you.
